Operation Black-Footed Ferret / Mission S3-05 / Mission Debriefing

Imprint:
Imprint's condition has continued to deteriorate as nanites warp his basic physiology.  He has been placed into stasis until a cure can be devised.

Before being placed into stasis, a psychic probe revealed that Purge had saved Imprint from destruction at Castle Winterstein and brought him to the United States.  A few days ago, she had taken him to the abandoned factory outside of Box Butte City and told him to await the arrival of Team Bulldog.  She had given him a pair of injections to boost his powers so that he could defeat the entire team.  This enabled Imprint to create an elaborate psychic construct for each agent, a feat that would normally be beyond his telepathic capabilities.

Considering that one of the two injections (the nanites) is damaging and potentially lethal, Imprint now believes that Purge did not intend for him to survive even if he was successful in eliminating Team Bulldog.

Purge:
Purge was not present at the factory but it is unclear how she could have escaped.

Project "Thief of the Gods":
This discarded vial contains traces of a metapsionic viral agent that boosts the host's super powers.  It was labeled thus, but in Japanese:
Nakamura Industries
Project "Thief of the Gods"
Batch 243:  Power-booster by-product
SAGA scientists are attempting to formulate a cure or vaccine but it is proving difficult due to the virus's metapsionic aspect.

Nakamura Industries is a secret organization involved in advanced genetic engineering.  They are Ubertech's chief competitor in the illicit biotech market.  Nakamura is extremely secretive and slow-moving, controlled by a conglomerate of old families in Japan.  SAGA has had trouble infiltrating this organization; the location of Nakamura's headquarters is unknown.

Project Ethon:
This nanocolony inhabits living organisms like a parasite.  It reproduces itself, seeks out cells that are infected with Project "Theif of the Gods," and neutralizes them by making them cancerous.  As an unfortunate side-effect, it causes deformity, insanity, and eventually death.  SAGA scientists speculate that the Ethon nanites were developed as a control or "cure" for Project "Theif of the Gods."  The vial was labeled:
Project Ethon / Non-contagious variant 7a
