Operation Cheat Sheet / Mission S3-04 / Location Analysis

Westmoreland-Shine Skunkworks

Grounds:
The Skunkworks is located in downtown San Diego, not far from the bay and several major roads.  The grounds consist of 4 main buildings, surrounded by parking lots, greenery, and sidewalks, with a small fountain in the middle of the main three buildings.

Centennial Building:  The largest building holds administrative offices, Pinnacle security offices, the IT department, a some research labs dealing with AI and electronic subsystems.  Portions of the basement, believed to hold the computer systems, are surrounded by meson-lattice force fields.

Biological Research Facility:  A squat, roundish building with a meson-lattice force field built into the walls, this building holds laboratories related to genetic engineering, pharmaceuticals, and cybernetics.

Holywell Building:  The oldest building on the premises has a built-in meson-lattice force field and a large two-story microvehicle lab.  Advanced robotics research is conducted here, and it is the most likely location for information on the power armor.

Pinnacle Base:  This long, low building serves as a barracks, armory, and training ground for the Paragon units and some of the Pinnacle security forces.  Portions of it are surrounded by meson-lattice force fields.  This building is situated somewhat behind the other three and off to the side; a helipad sits between the base and the main parking lot.

Security Systems:
The security systems are controlled by Pinnacle.  The main security office is in the Centennial building.

Surveillance:
All parts of the Skunkworks are wired with security cameras.  A comprehensive electromagnetic scanner monitors all transmissions and radiation on the grounds.

Access:  Access to sensitive areas is done through a combination of iris scan, key microchip, and code entry.

Structural:  The buildings have a sturdy, reinforced design that likely includes additional armor plating.

Force Fields:  Two entire buildings, and several subsections of other buildings, are surrounded by meson-lattice force fields, capable of blocking most forms of matter and energy.  The force fields can be adjusted to block visible light, but typically allow normal light levels through, as well as normal matter (people, air, etc.).  They are known to block quantum entanglement interactions (including SAGA communicators) and most forms of teleportation and remote viewing.

Aerodrones:  Ubertech makes use of its own aerial combat robots, which can be launched within 10 seconds of a detected intrusion.  These carry light machine guns and missiles.
