Operation Security Blanket / Mission S3-02 / Mission Briefing

Mission Objectives:
1.  Acquire the Shroud of Turin.
2.  Discover and defeat Cabal plot.
3.  Maintain alliance with Knights Templar.
4.  Maintain cover of SAGA and all SAGA agents (including Agent Harrow).

Background:
The real Shroud of Turin was stolen by the Cabal of Hermes over 50 years ago.  The Knights Templar, an order serving the Roman Catholic church, has been trying to recover it since the theft (they are charged with guarding sacred artifacts and other manifestations of divine power).  A few days ago, a SAGA agent within the Knights Templar learned that the Cabal of Hermes had moved the Shroud to Jerusalem and was planning to involve it in some sort of arcane ritual.  The Shroud of Turin is a powerful artifact that would benefit SAGA greatly, and definitely should not be left in the hands of the Cabal.  However, the Knights Templar, while allies of SAGA, will also be seeking the Shroud and will want to claim it for themselves.

Location:
Jerusalem, Israel.  You will meet with Agent Harrow at a falafel restaurant called Bippy's about an hour west of the city.

Allies/Contacts:

Agent Harrow/Acolyte Matthias:  A lean, blond-haired man with sharp features and keen eyes, Agent Harrow was specially trained for placement within the Knights Templar, where he has been stationed for 2 years under the alias "Acolyte Matthias."  Harrow is a norm with family ties to the Catholicism, making his placement within the Knights ideal.  He can aid your search for the Shroud by sharing information and answering your questions about the Holy Land.

Captain Ezekiel:  Acolyte Matthias's immediate superior in the Knights Templar is a grim, dark-haired man with a square jaw.  He is fiercely loyal to the Knights and probably willing to lay down his life for his faith.  If SAGA gains posession of the Shroud, Captain Ezekiel will likely take steps to recover it.

Expected Opposition:

Götz Jagdhund:  A tall, yellow-haired man with a well-groomed appearance and precise movements, Jagdhund is a fairly high-ranking member of the Cabal of Hermes.  An accomplished occultist, his powers should not be underestimated.  A ruthless psychopath, he is not to be trusted.  An intercepted communication seems to indicate that Jagdhund is in posession of the Shroud of Turin and has taken it to Jerusalem for some purpose.

Operation Parameters:
This operation will be undercover.  Agents should not reveal their presence to the Knights Templar unless it is required to complete the mission, as they may actually impede objective #1 by insisting on taking posession of the Shroud.

Agent Bulldog will be the controller for this mission.  Agents are free to choose equipment that suits their needs and will be given additional special equipment during the mission debriefing.  Both the debreifing and the special equipment will be transported in locked suitcases to be opened once in Jerusalem.

Agents are advised to avoid creating further strife in the Middle East.
